Our Story

Three Generations.
One Counter.

In 1987, we opened a six-seat counter on Avenue C with a curing rack, a slicer, and a stubborn refusal to cut corners. The neighborhood didn't know it yet, but they were about to get the best pastrami in Manhattan.

Today, we still cure our own meats. We still bake our rye before dawn. We still slice every order by hand — never pre-packaged, never rushed. The regulars who've been coming for thirty years know the difference.

This isn't a chain. It's not a trend. It's a deli that decided, decades ago, that good enough was never going to be good enough — and it's been that way ever since.

What We're Known For

The Things That
Keep You Coming Back

Dry-Brined & Smoked

Every batch of pastrami is hand-rubbed with spices, dry-brined for days, and smoked over hickory. No shortcuts, no shortcuts.

Baked Before Dawn

Our rye, Challah, and everything bagels come from the oven at 4 AM — always fresh, always warm when you walk in.

Packed by Hand

Every order is sliced and assembled to order — never pulled from a pre-made pile. You get what you asked for, every time.

Avenue C Institution

We've been part of this block since 1987. The neighbors, the regulars, the folks who drive in from Brooklyn — this is your deli.
